T-Mobile (TMUS.O) customers all over the United States reported network outages
late on Monday, according an online tracking site for outages, in which the
company claimed it was responding quickly to the issue that been affecting
certain cellular services.

The U.S. wireless carrier said it was working on the
resolution of an issue that led to intermittent problems regarding voice,
messaging and data service in various regions. It didn't say the number of
users affected.
The number of complaints of T-mobile outages in the past 24
hours reached more than 83,000 by 10:20 p.m. Eastern Time (0320 GMT), said
Downdetector.com which monitors outages by gathering status reports from
various sources that include user-submitted issues through its platform. The
number had dropped to around 9,000 by midnight ET.
T-Mobile's help desk has responded in response to Twitter
messages from users who were experiencing issues, saying that it would investigate
the complaints. The page did not provide any details about the severity of or
cause for the downtime.
"Our teams are rapidly addressing a 3rd party fiber
interruption issue that has intermittently impacted some voice, messaging and
data services in several areas," T-Mobile's Vice President of Technologies
Neville Ray said on Twitter.
Downdetector also revealed numerous reports of services
provided by different U.S. wireless carriers Verizon Inc. (VZ.N) along with
AT&T Inc (T.N) being down. The website displayed over 2,000 unresolved
issue complaints regarding Verizon plus more than 1,200 reports for AT&T during
peak times.
Verizon and AT&T have not yet responded in response to
requests made by Reuters for comments.
